Enjoy a commented tour through the Champagne Scenic Road and discover the Premier Cru and Grand Cru villages that are part of the Montagne de Reims area. Admire Champagne’s vineyards on the hillsides – they recently got listed as UNESCO World Heritage – and discover the most important treasure of the region: the grapes.

> Introduction about the Champagne terroir and first visit in the Marne Valley area

Your day begins with the discovery of a domain located in the Marne Valley area. During a guided tour of the winery and its cellars, you will learn the process of Champagne-making. After this comprehensive tour of the domain, you will take part in a commented tasting of 3 Champagnes of the domain.

> Commented walk in Hautvillers, the village of Dom Pérignon

The charming UNESCO-listed village of Hautvillers is your next stop. There, trace the origin of Champagne and visit the church where the famous monk Dom Pierre Pérignon is buried. This monk – who gave his name to a famous brand long after his death – is also known as the inventor of the Champagne blending process.

After lunch, drive through the grandiose UNESCO listed Avenue De Champagne in Epernay, where prestigious Champagne Houses settled during the 19th century : Moet & Chandon, Laurent Perrier, Pol Roger … Admire the buildings and magnificent villas owned by those iconic brands while your guide tells you more about the history of the men and women who created those Houses and built the grand reputation of “the richest avenue of the World”.

Keep heading South, to Côte des Blancs area ! We invite you to discover the magnificent property of another top-range Champagne producer from there. During a commented tasting of 3 Champagnes, you will discover the specificities of this iconic vineyard and the minerality of the Chardonnay grown in Premier and Grand Cru villages of this area.

> Last Champagne Tasting in the Montagne de Reims area – Focus on Blanc de Noirs and single plot Champagnes.

Your day in the Champagne vineyards ends in the Montagne de Reims area – renowned for the quality of its Pinot Noir. A last tasting at one of our favorite producers is scheduled : discover the unique aromas of 3 Champagnes from this Grand Cru area.
