LVMH opens its doors and takes you behind the scenes during Les Journées Particulières

The third edition of Les Journées Particulières is coming on May 20, 21rst and 22nd, 2016! The LVMH group opens this year again the doors of its prestigious Maisons and allows visitors to discover the hidden face of its luxurious brands. In Reims area, enjoy those 3 days to immerse yourself inside the universe of Maisons Ruinart, Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and Krug.

Last opportunities suggested by LVMH are located in Epernay, bastion of Moët & Chandon. The group offers  a guided visit of its cellars and reception rooms under the famous Avenue de Champagne, and two others symbolic places of the Maison. Located in the middle of vineyards, Fort Chabrol was for a long time a vine-growing school and is nowadays a research laboratory dedicated to the vine-growing. Culture lovers will enjoy the site’s history combining architecture and viticulture. Finally Moët & Chandon opens the doors of the Orangerie, the Trianon residence and its French garden,  exceptionally opened due to the event Les Journées Particulières.

In Reims, houses Ruinart, Krug and Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin offer during those 3 days to visit their chalk cellars and will provide a demonstration of the riddling technique used in champagne-making process. On this occasion, Veuve Clicquot opens its Œnology room as well as the prestigious Hôtel du Marc, well-known for its pleasant environment and its talented Chefs. To discover the vineyard it will be necessary to leave Reims for Verzy, where winemakers will share their savoir-faire with visitors.  When going to the south, enthusiasts  will have no choice but to stop at Hautvillers, historic cradle of champagne, to visit the abbey and the 17th-century cloister which belongs today to Dom Pérignon.

Good to know: most of the places are opened to children and people with reduced mobility !
